Full Day Smallmouth Trip

Full Day Huron River, Grand River, or Flint River Trip with shore lunch included.
Join me for a fabulous day floating down the river targeting a variety of species. Although our focus will be on smallmouth bass, other fish are also available and will be encountered throughout the day. Not only will you be able to fish some of the most beautiful water in Southeast Michigan, you will also be able to learn skills and techniques that will help you on your local waters and make you a better angler. Smallmouth bass are considered by many anglers the perfect fish to fly-fish for in fresh water. They can be super aggressive, they fight extremely hard, they jump multiple times after they are hooked, and they are rarely selective. These qualities are absolute advantages for the angler who wishes to do battle with these bronze beasts. Don’t be shy, come give it a try!

Sometimes, the river is blown out of its banks, sometimes, we are just tired of the kayak and canoe hatches that seem to spawn almost hourly on the river, and sometimes, we just want a day at a calm, quiet, and peaceful pond or lake catching bass and bluegill. This trip offers everything from specific fly-casting lessons, reading the water, tips in finding underwater pond weeds and structure, fly placement, fly retrieval techniques and much, much, more!
